  How to play pinball

The Addams Family pinball refurbishing process done and ready for delivery, December 2005/January 2006

Very nice translite. Conversion from nowaydays nowhere available #545 light bulbs (blinking bulbs in the backbox) has been performed and converted to widely available and cheap #455 bulbs.

Overall shot of the game getting powered up. That is one pretty Family!

The machine came to life. Nice sight to behold.

Wide shot of the upper playfield and the display/upper speakers area.

Full playfield shot. This machine is not the most popular machine of all time for nothing. It is a beautiful and colorful example that has been properly refurbished.

Upper left area with ramp detail. Customized light bulb covers have been added as well.

Pop bumper area. Pop bumpers have been completely rebuilt. We like them very strong and very responsive here at TXPinball and the pinball flies literally among them.

The Mansion area. Beautiful artwork with no flaws whatsoever.

Uncle Fester smiling at you. Flippers have been completely rebuilt as well. They will be smooth, strong and responsive for years and years to come.

Custom apron card added...

Custom How To Play and Ruleset card installed. The game has got a lot of stuff going for it.

Custom light bulb covers peppered throughout the playfield add a great effect... this is the left slingshot and inlane side.

Custom light bulb covers peppered throughout the playfield add a great effect... this is the right slingshot and inlane side.

Brand new Bookcase assembly. It has been rebuilt from scratch with all new parts and every single part removed and replaced.

Cabinet is exceptionally nice and glossy as well.

Lower side of the backbox artwork shot.

Lower cabinet with THING flicking the pinball and the game logo artwork.

The new flipper buttons have been installed and old, crappy, scratched and dirty ones replaced.

Another lower cabinet shot.

Completely new ball shooter assembly. Built from scratch and every part in it has been replaced. It kicks balls right, the way it's supposed to.

Coin door has been stripped, cleaned, repainted, clearcoated and it got a brand new lock and a set of spare keys.

To be continued (of course, there is a whole lot more to refurbishing than what's pictured here...
