Adding Uncle Fester to Electric Chair in The Addams Family Pinball

This pictorial is demonstrated on a 1992 Bally™ The Addams Family pinball machine. If you are not confident in your repair abilities and if you have never done this before, I do NOT RECOMMEND doing it. Soldering is required to do this mod properly and if you do not know how to solder or if you do not have proper equipment, I do NOT RECOMMEND doing it.

Above is our beloved Uncle Fester ready to be installed.

Unscrew the chair from 2 posts in the back, look at arrows in the picture. You'll need a Philips screwdriver.

Take the chair off the metal plate. Take the light bulbs out first. Put aside. You will solder the wires to the yellow bulb holder. Be careful, soldering part is the trickiest one in this mod.

Another detail of the posts and screws from the back of chair. Be careful when sliding the chair off the metal plate.

Firmly seat Uncle Fester in the chair. He should flush in comfortably. He should fit nice and snug if you push it a little stronger, but be cereful.

All lit up now. If you later discover that he's falling out of the chair, you can use double adhesive tape to put between his bottom and the chair.

Using some jumper wires to make sure the mod works before putting everything together.

All lit up detail.

One more lit up.

Last shot lit up. Now, when everything works, put the assembly back together backtracking your steps to disassemble it. Excess wires should go through the slot in the chair's metal plate. Tie them with zip ties in the back nice and snug. Pay attention that the wires are not interfering with the pop bumper behind the chair or the Cousin IT targets on the side.
